Romin describes their Mapleford house design as "spacious, practical, and bright." He recalls, "When we first saw the showhome, we could instantly imagine living here and our children growing up here. The house has a practical flow, with a large utility room that opens into the garden and a separate living room."

He also appreciates the thoughtful details: "It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into the design - little things like having the internet connection in the utility room so you don’t have the box on display in your lounge or wiring in the garden for lighting and plug sockets for a lawnmower. These simple touches make a huge difference."

"The landscaping is brilliant," they explain. "It’s practical with footpaths but also preserves nature so you don’t feel like you’re in a housing development, but rather out on a walk."

Romin reflects on how this connects with his childhood: "I grew up near woods and spent most of my childhood exploring them rather than going to a park. That connection with nature was extremely important to me, and Alston Grange provides that gateway between home and nature."
